On My Way To Financial Freedom

"The poor work for money while the rich make money work for them. "

I got this great idea from the motivational speaker named Robert Kiyosaki It is great for the very reason that it challenges us to redefine the reality of our world. This statement of him inspired me the most since this was really happening- a reality that each and everyone of us must be aware of. Robert, my financial adviser, so to speak,  continuously challenges the way tens of millions of people around the world on how they think about money. Before I go any further, I would not have known this awesome man if it were not for the recommendation of  my best friend who actively participates in network marketing- where Robert has always been the model on their way to becoming rich.

I have read lots of books of Robert Kiyosaki like Rich Dad Poor Dad , Unfair Advantage,
For People Who Like Helping People, Rich Dad's Guide to Investing, Guide to Becoming Rich Without Cutting Up Your Credit Cards and so many more... What I love about this guy is how honest and frank he was in delivering the realities about money and ways of how some people tend to stay perpetually in the rat race while some enjoy financial freedom.

The very first work of Robert Kiyosaki that I heard was the audio book entitled the Rich Dad Poor Dad in YouTube. I got the chance to be introduced to both Dads -the Rich Dad and the Poor Dad - and this was the very moment MY LIFE CHANGED FOREVER.  His poor dad is his real father who works as  an educator and who worked hard for money all his life while his Rich Dad had his money work for him, simply put, he is a businessman. The two dads had vast difference on how they lived their lives and how they thought about money. Robert followed the ways of his Rich Dad that led him to financial freedom. He also taught in the audio the 4 Quadrants: E for employee, S for the self-employed or the psychos as he would jokingly say, B for business-owner and I for Investor.  He stated that the employee work for someone else, that the self-employed owns his business to make money, and that the business owner has his business to make money and whereas his presence in the business is not required and last would be the investor who invests his money to receive money in the future.

I feel so bad that these employees work so hard for money yet, their money remains highly taxed as compared to the people belonging to the other Quadrants. Then the self-employed people, whom Robert considers as the psychos, will not be able to earn money if without them working for the business too. That is hard. While some business owners are the ones who really get rich. This is my goal. I wanna be like them. I just can't imagine how life could be much easier if you have your money work for you thru your business. But this one takes a lot of studying. I know I won't succeed if I won't prepare myself mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and economically. Being in business is not an easy task and that it entails a lot of preparation.

He also taught about the difference of assets and liabilities- something that makes money come in and out , respectively. I was shocked of how little I know about financial education. He said that people become poor by things they don't know. The life  I have been dreaming of is far from reality if it were not for his teachings that had awakened me from this deep slumber of having a poor mindset. From then on, I got involved in money-making activities thru investing in assets rather than liabilities. I started teaching myself to sell by doing online marketing and face-to-face selling with my clients. Not only do I earn money on my full time job of being a customer service representative but also in this part-time job of selling products of our own company- the Milky Way Philippines- a business that especializes in manufacturing quality clothes for babies.

Currently, I am working hard on my fortune thru my businesses instead of my wages earned in being a customer service representative. I invest my spare time learning how to sell , reading financial books , discussing smart subjects with smarter people than me, and listening to audio books for inspiration on my journey to financial freedom. There is no free lunch as Robert would say that is why I work hard and hard and hard. It may take some time for me to get there but I know I will get there. My desire is just so strong I know I am close to accomplishing my goals.

For all of you who would like to be working on their way to financial freedom, I recommend you read and hear on his works. He is just awesome.
